Nicholson has gone to Conference side Scarborough Town on an initial ONE month loan after struggling to earn a regular place in theNotts side since the arrival of new manager Gary Mills.

Off To Scarborough Town
Obviously, 23-year-old Nicholson is keen to get some first-team football under his belt as he has not featured in the first team in recent times and has not even been on the substitute’s bench in recent weeks either.

Nicholson, who's contract expires at the end of this season, signed from
Northampton Town in March 2001 and has made over 100 appearances for Notts County.

He has scored four goals for Notts in total, but has only scored the one goal this season –in the 7-2 thrashing of Shildon in the first round of the FA Cup at
Meadow Lane.

Ex Magpie assistant manager and current Seadogs manager, Russell Slade is hoping to bolster his defence in search of a few wins to keep them in the Conference and is hoping that ‘Nicho’ will do just the job for him on the left side of the field, at either left back or at left midfield.

Nicholson joins fellow Magpie team-mate Tony Hackworth, who is also currently on a month’s loan at the McCain Stadium.
