Next season…it's down to you

The decision follows that of numerous other clubs nation wide who put the final decision as to which kit will be donned by the players down to the supporters on a public vote.

The club’s Italian kit manufacturers, Errea will create three practice-runs that will be posted on the club’s official web-site in the coming weeks. The blueprints for the kits will then be put to a vote and displayed in the club shop whereby supporters will have the final say in what kit it is that the players run out in next season.

The most popular choice will be produced for the players and fans and will be baptised in early August, when the 2005/06 season kicks off.

Although, in a slightly strange decision on the club’s part, the voting will take place on one day only, that being the Saturday that the Magpies entertain Grimsby Town at the ‘Lane later this month. Whatever the verdict from that set of voting will stand as the kit for next season.

The club have also confirmed that the club’s baby blue away kit, as worn on occaision this season, will remain the club’s change colours for the 2005/06 season, with only the home shirts to be changed for the forthcoming campaign.

Be sure to keep an eye out on the Notts County Official site later this week for the designs of the three prototype kits to be published later this week.

Expect party election broadcasts a plenty prior to the voting date, which will fall this coming Saturday.
