New shirt creates split opinion

Notts County's outfield shirts have cast a split opinion amongst fans according to Notts County Mad's latest poll.

Barcode: Despite its odd design, the barcode strip was one of the club's best ever sellers...
A whopping 41.7 percent of the 108 people that voted said that they disliked both the new tops, whereas 31.5 percent claimed that they approved of the designs.

Certain voters took to just the one strip, with a further 17.6% claiming that that they liked only the home shirt, and another 9.3% taking to just the away.

Many gripes about the home offering came because of the sponsor, which many saw as poor quality in both appearance and print.

Moans and groans should be silenced, however, as the joint sponsorship agreement with Forward Pest Control and Marston's is regarded as the best in the club's history.

The away shirt, despite its historical links to the 1880s designs, was unpopular because of its colours - blue and maroon.

It is worth noting that despite their unusual designs, the infamous barcode and tartan shirts were two of the best selling shirts over the years.

So, hopefully the designs will not hamper the number of shirts sold too badly.

Poll:

Do you like the new shirts?

Yes, both of them: 31.5%
No, I dislike both: 41.7%
Only the home shirt: 17.6%
Only the away shirt: 9.3%
