Ian McParland has completed his line up of backroom staff for the new season by appointing 39-year old Paul Godfrey as the club's new physio.

Godfrey has never worked in football before, but has been a qualified physiotherapist for 17 years, and comes to the club with a wealth of qualifications and knowledge. He has spent the last two years working with the English Institute of Sport, and has worked with athletes from a number of different sports, including badminton, athletics and basketball.

Godfrey will be responsible for the treatment of injured players at Meadow Lane, and will also work closely with new fitness coach Marcus Svensson to ensure the players are kept on the best fitness regimes possible. He replaces former physio Paul Smith, who joined Sheffield Wednesday recently.
