Notts County's very own: Mike Edwards

A superb Easter weekend for the Magpie's centre-back, Mike Edwards. Since moving back to the centre of defence it has been four games, four wins and four clean sheets for County.

nd, it is because of this man Edwards that Notts still have an outside chance of making the play-off's.

Solid displays against struggling Boston United and Wrexham have helped claim wins to move Notts up to tenth in the division's pecking order.

Strong in the header and the tackle, Edwards' supreme performances could not have been more invaluable to County over the Easter period. A relatively poor team display at Wrexham was awarded with three points because of another convincing clean sheet. A fortunate late Notts goal may have been a mere consolation goal was it not for Edward's expertise at the back.

Three points behind seventh placed Shrewsbury, Notts fans can still dream of a trip to Wembley and League One football next season.

Two faultless displays from arguably the best defender in League Two, a fine weekend for Mike Edwards.
