NCM's League Two team of the weekend

Goalkeeper
- Alan Marriott, Lincoln City. The stopper has come under plenty of scrutiny of late for his poor showings, and despite being the regular number one for nine seasons was dropped for a while this campaign. But he was superb in the Imps' 2-1 win over Rochdale. The visitors rained shots at him but he was equal and allowed his side to snatch a late winner.

Right-back
- Simon Spender, Wrexham. The experienced Dragon kept quiet the immense talent of Peterborough winger George Boyd in a fine 0-0 draw for Wrexham at London Road. Spender restricted the abilities of Boyd, and in turn nulified Posh's chief threat.

Centre-back
- Stephen Foster, Darlington. Yet another clean sheet for the promotion chasing Quakers, with Foster an integral part. Barnet should have easily won the game with the final third possession they had but Foster beat it off well ahead of his trip to Meadow Lane on Tuesday.

Centre-back
- Daniel Hone, Lincoln City. Scored a crucial winner for the Imps as they made it three wins in three to move into 18th place. He stabbed home from close range and defended well all afternoon, in spite of Dale pressure, belying his youthfulness at 18.

Left-back
- Paul Mayo, Darlington. Playing in perhaps his last game for the Quakers in his current loan deal from Notts, Mayo performed down the left hand side. More attack-minded than usual, the former Imp created the game's only goal with a well executed long throw and worked hard for his sides clean sheet.

Right-wing
- Francis Green, Macclesfield. Scored the only goal of the game as Town picked up a crucial win over Morecambe to move them back above Notts. Green pounced with three minutes left at Christie Park for only their second win in 15.

Centre-midfield
- Danny Sonner, Wrexham. The second successive time Sonner has made it into this team. Described as outstanding against big spending Posh, Sonner outshone the likes of Dean Keates and Charlie Lee and mixed the play superbly.

Centre-midfield
- Danny Boshell, Grimsby Town. After creating the Mariners' equaliser at Meadow Lane last week, Boshell goes from strength to strength and was in great form as Town won again. Scored two penalties and influenced the game with every touch.

Left-wing
- Aswad Thomas, Accrington Stanley. In only his second game for Stanley after arriving on loan from Charlton Athletic, Thomas hit a fine brace to help secure an impressive 3-2 win at Chester. It was long overdue for Stanley, and Thomas played a full part.

Striker
- Andy Bishop, Bury. His brace was enough to secure Alan Knill a first win as Shakers boss with Bishop smashing home a penalty and a last minute winner as Bury came from beind. His finishing was the difference and he looked a class act throughout.

Striker
- Jefferson Louis, Mansfield Town. The recent acquisition netted again for the Stags, and his 90th minute winner against high flying Wycombe could be a huge boost to their survival hopes. A good finish from Louis and one that nobody expected and could help to move the Stags out of trouble.
