NCM's League Two team of the weekend

Last updated : 04 February 2008 By Gary Moss
Goalkeeper
- Kevin Pilkington, Notts County. Enjoying a fine run of form for the Magpies of late and another top display helped County to another point as they steer clear of League Two trouble.

Right-back
- Ryan Cresswell, Macclesfield Town. Solid afternoon for the Silkmen defender. Organised well and was the best player on show at Moss Rose. He could have stole a point for Town but looped his header onto the roof of the net.

Centre-back
- Chris Westwood, Peterborough United. A rock solid display for the Posh centre-back. Snuffed out all the dangers form Dale to help United come through a tricky away tie. Towering height and excellent awareness capped his afternoon.

Centre-back
- Steve Evans, Wrexham. Scored a goal and was commanding at the back as the Welshmen kept the power of the Quakers at bay. No nonsense but very effective.

Left-back
- Dean Lewington. Up and down the flank as usual causing countless problems for a very frail Bury outfit at Gigg Lane. His delivery is excellent.

Right-wing
- Mark Wright, MK Dons. Scored a hat-trick to help the table topping Dons back to form. Netted three and assisted the other as Ince's men ran riot at Bury.

Centre-midfield
- Sergio Torres, Wycombe Wanderers. At the heart of all things good as the Wanderers chalked up a 2-0 win away at Accrington Stanley. His passing was superb according to reports.

Centre-midfield -
Danny Sonner, Wrexham. A different class for the Dragons as they took the scalp of second placed Darlington. Recent acquisition from Walsall is ticking all the right boxes. His set piece delivery caused many problems.

Left-wing
- George Boyd, Peterborough United. Quiet for spells at Spotland but when it mattered the former Stevenage man delivered scoring one and setting up the other in a crucial 2-0 win over play-off rivals Rochdale.

Striker
- Louis Dodds, Lincoln City. Vital brace helped the Imps against their relegation fight. Often a fringe player this season at Sincil Bank but when caled upon the all action utility man came up trumps to blunt Shrewsbury.

Striker
- Leon Knight, Wycombe Wanderers. Capped a decent display with his first goal for the club. Has not had an immediate impact with the Chairboys but a harding working display rewarded with a goal could kick start his loan spell at Adams Park.
