Permanent Move On The Cards?
As revealed earlier today in the Nottingham Evening Post, Mills wants to keep David Pipe, Paul Boertien and Andy Parkinson at
Meadow Lane after their individually impressive performances over the past three weeks at the club.

“I would very much like to bring all three of them to the club on a permanent basis,” said Mills who has been “delighted” at the commitment shown by the three lads during their time at
Meadow Lane.

“You sometimes have a few worries about bringing players in on loan in terms of their commitment,” Mills commented but he has been impressed by the attitude and commitment of all three and it has persuaded Mills that they should have a future at the club

But Mills warned that he did not know what the chances of gaining all three stars on permanent deals would be by adding; “I haven't made any moves to do so yet, but I will certainly be looking at the prospect.”

Meanwhile another permanent contract could be on offer. This time to trialist Tony Scully after he put in a strong performance against Rushden & Diamonds in the behind-the-closed-doors friendly where Notts County won 1-0 thanks to a goal from Shaun Harrad.

“He is a big lad, someone with experience in the Premiership,” said Mills in regard to the 26 year old Division One winger. “We would like him to train with us for as long as possible before Saturday's game.”
