Mills Targets FIVE New Players!

Last updated : 13 January 2004 By Richard Brown

Mills will line up seven new faces, who are currently on trial from both professional and non-league clubs, in the Magpies second-string side tomorrow with a view to signing the trialists.

This latest news comes just five days after his appointment and could coincide with rumours linking Notts legend, Tommy Johnson, with a return to
Meadow Lane.

In an interview with the Nottingham Evening Post, Mills said: "I had one of the busiest Sundays I have had in a very long time," But after a lot of calls we should have six or seven trialists playing tomorrow.

"And I would like to make five signings soon.

"If things go well, it will be five of the lads we have playing tomorrow, if not, we will have another five or six trialists playing in our next reserve match, until we find the players who are right for us."

Notts' reserves play York City tomorrow afternoon, with the game kicking off at 2:00pm.
