Mills said that the man on loan from Coventry, Avun Jephcott, will be a much better player than Clive Platt, the man that ditched Notts for Peterborough last week.

"I don't care about Clive Platt, he is a Peterborough player now. That doesn't concern me,"
Mills told the Evening Post.

"And, in Avun Jephcott, we have a good player who will, in the future, be a far better player than Clive Platt.

"He has a similar build. He is a strong lad, he has a decent touch and can score a lot of goals.

"We have options up front and brought Avun here to play a part."

Mills also mentioned how impressed he was with young striker Shaun Harrad, who he said will play some part tomorrow, while also praising Tony Hackworth.

Mills added: "I have also been very impressed by Shaun Harrad in training and he had a superb game in the reserves.

"He will definitely be involved tomorrow, in some capacity.

"Tony Hackworth has been running around as though his life depended on it. His effort has been very credible."
