The Magpies boss has been tracking 20-year-old forward Sofiane for a number of weeks and finally got his man when the Frenchman put pen to paper this morning.

Mills: Been busy
The talented frontman will go straight into the squad for Saturday's trip to Northampton and has been handed the number 28 shirt.

He is believed to be a nippy forward and is likely replace the concussed Matty Williams for Saturday's game. An in-depth look at the Frenchman will be on NCM shortly.

Elsewhere, Mills has also been busy trying to secure another loan, this time for 22-year-old Coventry midfielder Craig Pead.

The County boss has again returned to his old stomping ground in attempt to bolster his depleted squad, and is hoping to snap-up the talented Coventry man in-time for him to play on Saturday.

Pead, who can also operate in defence, signed for Coventry as a trainee and has made 45 appearences for the Sky Blues, scoring two goals.

However, he has yet to feature for Peter Reid's men this season and a one-month loan deal would suit all parties.

NCM will keep you updated with all the latest transfer moves taking place at Meadow Lane.
