Mills' Henderson worry

Villa's first choice goalkeeper, Thomas Sorensen, picked up an injury while playing for Denmark at the weekend and the big stopper has also been ruled out of the Danes clash with Turkey tomorrow.

And, should Sorenson be ruled-out of Villa's clash with Arsenal at the weekend, then it is likely that Henderson will be recalled to the Midlands club.

Sorenson, however, seems confident he will be OK for Saturday's game, telling Villa's official site: "My back is still quite sore, but it's getting better and we're going to see how thing's go.

"Obviously Arsenal away is a game I don't want to miss and I can promise the Villa fans I'll be doing all I can to get fit."

Irish under-21 keeper Henderson (pictured left) is third choice for David O'Leary's side, but has been in outstanding form since joining the Magpies on-loan in August, and is largely responsible for Notts' excellent record on their travels this season.

"It would be a significant blow, given the form he has shown for us in recent weeks," manager Mills told the NEP.

"And we had been talking about the possibility of keeping him here for the rest of the season.

"To go from that to the possibility of seeing him being recalled is not good.

"We will have to wait to see how bad the injury is, but they could still recall him before the weekend.

"I suspect we will find out more clearly what the situation is at some point over the next 24 hours.

"But if one of their senior keepers is injured, they are probably going to want Wayne back."

The possibility is made all the worse for Mills as out-of-favour Steve Mildenhall has recently been training with Oldham Athletic in a bid to earn a contract there.

This transfer would, in theory, free up the funds to sign Henderson for the season, though the Notts manager may now have to alter his plan of action somewhat.
