Mills completes double-swoop

Mills revealed his desire earlier today in the Nottingham Evening Post to offer the duo deals that will see them remain at Meadow Lane until the end of the season and to fulfil the void left by Darren Caskey’s pick-up-and-go style move to Ashton Gate.

The 21-year old Bewers, graduate of Aston Villa’s highly-rated academy, is capable of filling in at right-back whilst Briggs, a former West Brom player currently who was until today plying his trade in his homeland of Denmark, has agreed a contract although FA clearing, expected tomorrow, will be needed before the deal is sealed.

Should both be deals be confirmed, the pair will be in contention for a place for an immediate bow ahead of the Magpies’ visit to Prenton Park on Saturday.
