Mildenhall's Fresh Injury Blow

Steve Mildenhall will not only be missing for the previously estimated 2 months but will now miss the rest of the season. But it won’t be because of his recent cheekbone injury.

The 6ft 5 goal-keeper has been hit with a fresh injury blow after suffering a reoccurrence of the thumb injury that caused him to be sidelined last season.
Mildy: Out For The Season

He first ruptured the tendons in his right hand, 11 months ago in training when his thumb was only being held in place by skin after dislocating ligaments so badly in training.

Mildenhall had since been playing all season with heavy strapping on his hands to prevent any further damage but unfortunately he has damaged the area again.

Gary Mills told the
Nottingham Evening Post; “Steve is going to miss the rest of the season.”

“It is an additional blow for him. It was bad enough that he was going to be out with the injury to his face.”

“But now he has to miss the rest of the campaign after suffering a recurrence of this old injury.”

We, here at NCM would like to wish Steve Mildenhall a speedy recovery.
