Mid-week League Two Preview

Last updated : 03 April 2007 By Gary Moss

It is an ever familiar Tuesday night game at Gay Meadow for Shrewsbury Town as they look to hunt down a play-off place.

The Shrew's will be looking to bounce back from a disappointing defeat against Swindon at the weekend as they face relegation battling Bury.

Bury will travel in high spirits after victory over Boston United that gifted the Shaker's their first league win in seventeen attempts.

Asamoah...Resigned to his training kit this evening
Shrewsbury boss Gary Peter's has top scorers Andy Cooke and Michael Symes available who may replace Leo Fortune-West and Derek Asamoah, despite their inspired recent form.

It is a lovely problem to have ahead of a game that if ends in victory will see them back in the play-off's at the expense of Wycombe.

Bury on the other hand will be without experienced defender Chris Brass who will miss the rest of the season with a groin injury.

In the nights other game, Swindon will be looking to put daylight between them and the other promotion hopeful's with a win at Spotland.

Rochdale swept aside Lincoln at the weekend but face a tougher test tonight against a Robin's line-up that has won their last two on their travels.

Both teams should remain un-changed from the weekend as they go in hunt of three more precious league points.

Swindon victory will see them level on points with second placed Walsall while a Rochdale win would see Notts County fall back into the bottom half of the table.

Moss' Predictions:

Shrewsbury
3-1 Bury

Rochdale 1-1 Swindon
