Michael Woods joins from Chelsea

Paul Ince last week added a further loanee to his ever expanding Notts County squad with the capture of young Chelsea midfielder Michael Woods on loan until January. The central midfielder has regularly featured for the Premier League giants' reserve side this season after recovering from a cruciate ligament injury and turned down a prospective move to League One leaders Brighton & Hove Albion in order to join up with the Magpies. He was at the centre of controversy as a seventeen year old when he joined the Blues from Leeds United in a disputed transfer, with Chelsea eventually paying Leeds around £5,000,000 for Woods and Tom Taiwo, now with League One rivals Carlisle United.
