Junior Mendes' torrid spell at Meadow Lane is finally over.

The 30-year-old striker has left the club today after a mutual termination of

his current Magpies deal.

He is now a free agent and will be looking for a new club, with a move to another League Two club expected to be completed within the next few weeks.

Mendes joined County last summer as part of new boss Steve Thompson's Meadow Lane shake up.

But a feud off the pitch with the Notts chief has limited his chances of first team football.

He was shipped out on loan to Lincoln City at the end of last seaoson and since returning has never featured in Thommo's plans.

His move will come as no real surprise to fans and NCM would like to wish him all the best for the future and thank him for his short lived service to the club.
