McIntyre, who is yet to make his Magpies bow, currently operates at Meadow Lane as a third year scholar and has, of late, been turning out for the Magpies second-string, proving an effective operator down the left flank.

However, after succeeding in gaining a squad number for the first time this season, McIntyre, 19, has found himself being, effectively, borrowed to Conference National side, Tamworth.

The Lambs, who boast Gary Mills and the Darren Gee as former employees, have agreed to grant young McIntyre some invaluable experience, in which the player is effectively loaned out to the club. However, because the player is yet to sign a professional contract, the deal, not officially considered a ‘transfer’ due to this junior years, sees Eddie train with the Notts youth squad, but is eligible to turn-out for Tamworth to gain additional competitive match practise.

"Eddie can play for their first team as well as our reserves, and he will continue to report to Meadow Lane with the rest of the youth players," commented Secretary Tony Cuthbert, speaking today to the club's Official site.

"We have sent them an open letter so he can stay there for as long as is agreed, but the final decision is Ian Richardson's. I think we will probably give it a month and see how everyone feels about it," he added.

Incidentally, it was Tamworth who also took Shaun Harrad, a professional player with the club, on loan there earlier this season.
