McCarthy has done well for Notts since being signed on a months loan in late March. The 19-year-old Irish defender has taken part in 5 games while he has been at Meadow Lane and looks to have settled into the team very well.
Billy Dearden would surely like to keep the tough tackling defender at the Club, but due to the financial problems at Meadow Lane ‘Paddy’ is likely to be another loan player Notts will not be able to hold on to permanently.
