Match Off!!!

Following an earlier than antisipated inspection at 9:45AM, the pitch was passed unfit and the game had to be called off.

The Magpies are hopeful of rearranging the game for Tuesday night (14th), NCM will bring you up to date with developments.

NCM's Tom Loakes was down at Meadow Lane bright and early this morning....and reports back on his findings.

8:30AM - Arrived at Meadow Lane with around 10 others volenteers, all with forks and willing to help.

8:35AM - Walk onto the Meadow Lane pitch, which was looking ok until we arrived at the centre circle, where the pitch was rock hard. The head groundsman admitted it was very likely the game would be called off. He admitted the Main Stand was the problem, which had been blocking out the sunlight. We now awaited a final decision.

9:00AM - We decided to hang around for a while at Meadow Lane, to see if anything would change, whilst waiting we informed fellow fans the game would most certainly be off, but official notice was not yet in.

9:15AM - We hear that Notts would like to rearrange the game for Tuesday, and Stockport have no problems with that.

9:30AM - It began to get much colder around Meadow Lane and with the fog still lingering around, we decide to depart back home. Upon arrival home the match is officially called off.
