Barring any last-minute hitches, Martin will put pen-to-paper at Meadow Lane this afternoon on what's expected to be a one-year deal.

The Championship side have agreed to release the youngster without a fee, but a sell-on clause will be included in the deal.

The 19-year-old is thought to be signed to act as immediate cover for Rob Ullathorne, who is currently the only left back on the club's books. However, the youngster can also fill-in at centre back and in midfield if required.
