Man of month Robins eyes seventh straight win

Last updated : 04 December 2007 By Gary Moss
It's an old cliche but December is very much a make or break month in the football calendar and it is no difference in League Two.

After a weekend off for most sides due to a congested FA Cup schedule - it's back to league action for teams in the basement division.
Notts...Happy to forget Havant

While Notts will be hoping to shrug off a cup hungover following an exit at the hands of Conference South side Havant and Waterlooville, Hereford will be looking to build on their exploits over League One's Hartlepool.

The cup threw up mixed fortunes for League Two sides at the weekend as the form guide went out of the window.

But it's back to the bread and butter of the league campaign - and into December - a month that could mould many sides season fates.

Game of the week: Chesterfield v Rotherham

Millers chief Mark Robins scooped the Manager of the Month award for November after leading Rotherham to third in the table.

United have won six on the bounce and are making ground quick on Paul Ince's leaders MK Dons.
O'Grady...Robins' main man

But a midweek trip to Midlands side Chesterfield provides arguably their toughest test of the season so far.

He will be looking to avoid the awards curse and make it seven straight league wins.

We all know plenty about Jack Lester who has been in fine scoring form this term.

But the Millers too boast a striker in tip top form. 21-year-old former Notts loanee Chris O'Grady has scored seven already this season, and is proving one of the division's brightest young talents.

The former Leicester man took a while to get going but is proving to be a lethal predator now.

Expect Lester and O'Grady to make the difference in this clash.
