Tony Pulis' side will take on The Magpies on Tuesday 29th July, with the game kicking off at 7:45 PM.
The Potters avoided relegation fron Division One on the final day of last season thanks to a 1-0 win over high flying Reading, with Ade Akinbyi heading home the game's only goal.
Stoke's last visit to Meadow Lane was in February 2002 in a Division Two fixture, the game ended 0-0 with Stuart Garden pulling off some excellent saves to deny City while both sides hit the woodwork in the first half.
Andy Cooke headed against the bar for Stoke while Richard Liburd's rasping volley also hammered against the crossbar as both sides settled for a point.
