Magpies to face Hucknall Town

Notts County have today lined up their fourth pre-season game of the new campaign, a trip to Watnall Road to face Hucknall Town, according to the Hucknall Dispatch. Having agreed home friendlies against Nottingham Forest, Derby County and a Liverpool XI, it is the Magpies' first confirmed away friendly, and the trip to Hucknall has now become an annual fixture in the Notts calendar, and will this year take place on July 29th according to the Dispatch, the day after the home friendly with the Rams.

The sides met last season, with a Spencer Weir-Daley hat-trick (seriously) helping the Magpies to a 5-2 win over the then Blue Square North side. Town were unfortunately relegated into the Unibond Premier Division after a disappointing campaign last season however, and have appointed Bryan Chambers charged with leading the club to an immediate return to the second level of non-league football. Hucknall are also set to face our League Two rivals Chesterfield, as well as Loughborough Dynamo and Llanelli.
