Magpies to face FA charge

The charge, which relates to multiple incidents that took place during the match between the two sides a fortnight ago, was called for earlier today and concerns both Notts and Kidderminster failing to control their players under rule E22a of the Football League guidelines.

The match – which saw an 18-man brawl resulting from a reckless Paul Bolland tackle – ended 3-1 to Kidderminster, after seeing not one, but two penalties handed to them by the honourable Kevin Friend.

The Magpies also saw ‘keeper Saul Deeney sent off during the match for a ‘stamp’ on defender, Johnny Mullins. A deed which the Ireland under-21 ‘keeper Deeney has since been handed a three-match ban for.

The two clubs have today been charged with ‘failing to ensure that their players conduct themselves in an orderly fashion’ and have until Wednesday 30th March to respond to the charges.

If found guilty, both clubs should expect a FA fine.
