The squad John McMahon brings to Meadow Lane is expected to include a majority of reserve players, mostly aged under 21. Many of these have experience on loan at League Two and above, however. There are plenty of talents to look out for in that squad, with Gerardo Bruna, an Argentinian midfielder formerly of Real Madrid, having been tipped as the successor to Lionel Messi. Left back Robbie Threlfall has had loan spells at Stockport County and Hereford United whilst Adam Hammill impressed on loan to Blackpool last season. Ryan Crowther had a short spell at Wrexham, whilst upfront Estonian forward Flora is expected to have a bright future in the game, as is Dutch forward Jordy Brouwer and Swede Nikola Saric. In goal David Martin is the son of former West Ham man Alvin Martin.

For Notts, the only absentee looks set to be Stephen Hunt, who picked up another injury in his return match against Derby on Tuesday night. Changes are possible, but it is expected that Lee Hughes and Luke Rodgers will continue together upfront, whilst Matt Hamshaw will be hoping to get a full game under his belt. Trialist Keith Quinn will also be hoping to get a game. The match kicks off at 7:45pm tonight at Meadow Lane and costs £10 for adults and £5 for concessions.
