Stallard returns from injury
Last seasons top goal scorer notched up 25 goals in the league last season and was consequently voted the club’s player of the season by fans and players alike.

The 28-year-old striker was feared to be sidelined for up to 8 weeks when he limped from the field of play in last weeks 1-0 defeat at home to Peterborough United with a suspected broken metatarsal. However, after a series of scans on the foot it was diagnosed as nothing more than heavy bruising, reducing his stint on the sidelines down to just two weeks.

However, we at Notts County Mad understand that ‘Stal’, as he is affectionately known by the Notts faithful, has today resumed full training after just an 8 day stint from action.

It also emerged that winger Simon Baldry, who has impressed during the Magpies recent run of poor form, has also returned to action after he was thought to have picked up a minor groin problem in Saturday’s 1-1 draw with
Barnsley.

However, Ian Richardson and Nicky Fenton both reported for training yesterday with a dead leg, whilst Steve Jenkins and Tony Hackworth are believed to be carrying respective hamstring and knee problems.
