Magpies lose another youngster

Sherlock – who has been turning out for the reserve and youth outfits throughout the season – has agreed to leave the club at the end of the current campaign after agreeing to mutually terminate his YTS contract with the club.

Whilst he will no longer turn out at reserve and youth level, Sherlock will continue the third and final year of education provided by the club for its youngsters.

The young striker will overstep the footballing element of his scholarship at the end of the current campaign in favour of his education here.

The decision of Sherlock comes just weeks after Notts stated that they will not be retaining the services of promising youngsters Eddie McIntyre, pictured, and Kris Nurse beyond the end of the season.

Since that decision, striker Nurse had agreed to leave the club early although – much like Sherlock – continued with his education at Meadow Lane.

NCM would like to wish Sherlock all the best.
