Magpies Counting The Cost

With Notts' game against Crewe on January 4th already being called off due to Crewe being in the 3rd Round of the FA Cup, and Notts could have another free Saturday soon after.

The Magpies are due to take on Plymouth Argyle at Meadow Lane on 25th January, the same day as the FA Cup 4th Round. Argyle are in the 3rd Round of the FA Cup and are to take on Dagenham & Redbridge at Home Park, and should they progress through, it will be another blank weekend for The Magpies.

Notts will also be counting the cost that they will now have just one home game over the holiday period, with Barnsley visiting Meadow Lane on Boxing Day. The Christmas games always seem to attract extra fans, and with just the one home game instead of two, Notts will no doubt be taking on Crewe and Plymouth in midweek games instead of Saturday's meaning less people coming through the gates and therefore making less much needed cash.

Magpies fans may have the daunting prospect of seeing no action at Meadow Lane for just over a month should the Plymouth game being called off.

Of course there is a long way to go before all the above is confirmed, but it is a possibility.
