Wednesday defender set for Meadow Lane?

Notts County are trying to negotiate a deal with Sheffield Wednesday to sign centre back Richard Wood, according to the Star. The six foot four defender is the current Owls captain, but has opted to reject a new deal at Hillsborough. Coventry City are also said to be interested in Wood, whilst Wednesday are keen to negotiate a loan-then-permanent deal with a club.
