Ian McParland's striking options have been given a significant boost after he finally managed to snap up Jonathan Forte on a month's loan.
The Scunthorpe United striker had a short stint with the club earlier in the season in which he netted four times in as many games.
It had been widely known that McParland had been trying to bring Forte back to Meadow Lane in order to inject a bit of pace into his misfiring frontline.
Speaking to the official website, Notts' boss expressed his delight at landing his target.
"I'm delighted we've struck a deal to bring Jonathan back," he said.
"He enjoyed his time with us earlier in the season so we were always in with a good chance of getting him back, especially with the good relationship we have with Scunthorpe."
"The lads and the fans know what Jonathan is all about and we're delighted to have him back with us.
"His pace will again give us an extra dimension in attack and I'm looking forward to seeing him back in our colours."
County's new number 10 can expect to be thrust into the thick of the action against Macclesfield Town tomorrow night, alongside Delroy Facey.
He will not, however, be joined by his Iron team-mate Josh Lillis, who has returned to his parent club following the comeback of Kevin Pilkington from a knee injury.
No more alterations are expected from the team that beat Barnet 2-0 at the weekend.
Only Russell Hoult (shoulder) remains sidelined leaving the squad looking much healthier than a couple of weeks ago.
