Having finished bottom of the Premiership last season, a neutral’s view may be that Leicester City can boast little more than a very ordinary squad with very little ambition. If so, then they’d be wrong. City have a batch of talented youngsters who have ability and goals far beyond the grasping range of many seniors at the club and under the guidance of the steely management of Micky Adams the club’s future should be in safe hands. However, with the relegation hangover still evident and the boards insistence to off-load players to reduce the heavy, top-flight wage bill that they find on their books, fans cannot be expecting too much during the promotion campaign ahead.

The Foxes fans
Expect a decent City following
Despite expecting our doom to have been confirmed well before last season ended, it still hurts more than any other realistic set-back in the game. City have just taken their attention away from the previous season’s disappointments and are now focusing on the term ahead and the pre-season fixtures are vital for the possible success we may get. Having had an inconsistent ride so far, Leicester will be looking to get back on the rails for the opening game at the spectacular Walkers Stadium against Spaniards Athletico Bilbao.

Adams will be looking to field a strong side out for the Notts match. Former internationals Tim Flowers, Matty Elliott and Frank Sinclair as well as current internationals Paul Dickov, Gerry Taggart and possibly Muzzy Izzet should feature along with F***** reject Alan Rogers(we hate them as well). There is a strong possibility that a big crowd will travel from Leicester to the match.

My prediction? I go for a 1-2 Foxes win.
