Lee: "Stick with us"

Lee, with five goals in three games, and twelve league goals overall found it hard to accept praise with the team the priority: “It takes the shine off it for me scoring goals, if we don't win.”

Lee... Experienced man a leader
The problem today was Notts conceding firstly, two minutes after taking the lead, and secondly, five minutes after equalising. Lee said: “It's embarrassing if I'm honest. They say you are always at your worst when you have just scored. If we knew how to address it we would. We are working hard and as I said to supporters at the start of the season, stick with us because we are doing our best.”

The Club Captain believed Notts would take three points from the game: “You have to be disappointed because we felt we could win the game, no disrespect to Hereford.

“If you score two away you expect to get at least a point. We worked hard to get back into the game and we blew it. Threw it away if I am honest.”

On a personal note, despite the defeat, Lee still found time to talk about his form: “I'm pleased to be scoring but as I said, when you don't win the game, I have always been a team man, so when we aren't winning I find it hard to take.”

Pushed as to whether he has a goals target, Lee responded: “I never set myself a target. I'm not sitting on the fence I just aim to play a certain amount of games, and I think I've equalled the amount of bookings with goals… work that one out.”

Lee has vowed to put things right when Notts host Barnet at Meadow Lane on Tuesday: “I'll keep going, the boys will keep going, and we will see you Tuesday and hopefully get three points.”
