League Two Preview 22/12 & 23/12

Gary Jones...Banned for Grimsby
In tonight's League Two games…


Grimsby
are without star striker Gary Jones, who begins a four-match ban for his elbow on Lincoln City's Nat Brown last week. Michael Reddy, John McDermott and Paul Bolland will also be missing as the Mariner's go in search of their third straight home win over struggling Torquay.


The Gull's travel to Blundell Park with last year's player of the year, Kevin Hill likely to be given a run after proving his fitness with two goals for the reserves in mid-week.


Shrewsbury
entertain Barnet with defender Sagi Burton returning from suspension to relieve striker Kelvin Langmead from his duties at the back.


A whole host of injuries for Barnet, means the Bee's travel with a bare minimum squad of sixteen as they look to end the Shrew's five match unbeaten run at home.


As for tomorrow…


Mansfield
's clash with Chester at Field Mill has postponed due to a frozen pitch.


Elsewhere, league leaders Walsall will be without pair Ian Roper and Martin Butler through suspension as they look to record their first league win in three. They travel to York Street to face Boston who are also without Drewe Broughton and David Galbraith.


Lincoln
City
are at London Road against former boss Keith Alexander. Striker Mark Stallard is likely to return but the Imps will still be without Lee Frecklington, Jeff Hughes and Paul Mayo.

Alexander's Posh may hand a start to new goalkeeper Paul Rachubka as regular Mark Tyler has an ankle injury. Guy Branston and Aaron McLean also return for Peterborough.


Manager less Rochdale are away at MK Dons but are missing striker Morikis Sako. Caretaker boss, Keith Hill has promised the fans big changes following the departure of Steve Parkin.

As for the Dons, Sean O'Hanlon looks set to replace the suspended Drissa Diallo.


Wrexham will be looking for their first league win in four as they entertain Darlington. The Red Dragons will be without at least five players as Kevin Smith joins Neil Roberts and Juan Ugarte on a huge injury list. It could be all change for the Quakers upfront with Simon Johnson and Gaetano Giallanza likely to replace Julian Joachim and Alun Armstrong.


After a mid-week giant killing of Premiership Charlton, Wycombe are likely to remain un-changed as they look to bounce back from their defeat to MK Dons as they play Stockport at Adams Park. Key players Tes Bramble, Rob Clare and Adam Proudlock are all struggling for fitness for Jim Gannon's side.


Danny Wilson's Hartlepool have won four of the last five and will be hoping to continue their impressive form as they play Bury at Gigg Lane. The Pool will be looking to build on seventh place as they welcome strikers Jon Daly and James Brown to their ranks following injury.

As for Bury, emergency goalkeeper Lee Jones may be in line for a rare start as seniors Alan Fettis and Andy Warrington face late fitness tests. On-loan Stephen Turnbull is banned from playing against his parent club.

Haldane...A big loss for Bristol Rovers


Bristol Rovers play Accrington Stanley. Andy Sandell should fill in for the Pirates as Lewis Haldane is suspended while Stanley welcome back Robbie Williams and Shaun Whalley. Michael Welch and Joel Byrom are doubts however for John Coleman's strugglers.


In Saturday's final battle, Macclesfield unbeaten in six take on second placed Swindon with six wins in their last seven. Robin's striker Royce Brownlie is available after recovering from a leg injury but Christian Roberts will be serving a ban. Paul Ince's side are without defender Alan Navarro as well as Matthew Tipton and Martin Bullock still being doubtful.
