Goalkeeper Kevin Pilkington won the poll hands down following a month in which he showed breathtaking form.

Pilkington... Landslide winner
The experienced stopper pulled in a whooping 61% of the votes cast despite being up against regular goalscorer Richard Butcher, impressive new boy Gavin Strachan, captain Adam Tann and the solid Stephen Hunt - all of whom had good a good month.

Former Manchester United custodian Pilkington produced one save that he descrived as the "best of my career" and it typified his month.

With the scores locked at 0-0 in a crucial game against Chester, Pilkington somehow clawed a Kevin Sandwith free-kick over the bar even though it was already on the goaline and travelling at some speed.

It had spectators breathless, and Notts went on to secure there first win in six, and have been unbeaten since.
Butcher... Still in good form

He has also kept three clean sheets in six games and was man of the match despite conceding three goals at Bradford.

A mistake-free month, Pilkington is surely now alongside Richard Butcher as the candidates for player of the season so far.

Second place went to Butcher with 14% of the votes. He scored his ninth of the season with a cracker as Notts drew 1-1 at Morecambe, and generally looked in good form.

Third place went to both Hunt and Tann with 9% each.

The defensive duo were integral parts of Notts' win over Chester in particular, with Tann netting the only goal.

Hunt also found the net this month, scoring early on against Stockport before an eventual 2-1 loss.

Both have returned to their best form as the month progressed.

And finally Strachan's impressive start hasn't gone unnoticed as the former Peterborough man has displayed some talented technical ability and composure in the midfield that saw him pick up the remaining 7% of the votes.

Season so far:

August - Richard Butcher
September - Adam Tann
October - Neil MacKenzie
November - Adam Tann
December - Krystian Pearce
