"Jeff knows what his situation is now at the club,” said City manager Kevin Keegan to the Manchester Evening News. “He went to Notts County and did a great job for them there, but he has slipped down the pecking order. He has a year left on his contract, but could end up playing in the reserves," explained the manager.
"I know that will be difficult for him as he is a Manchester City fan but I can't see him making the first team. As a player around the place he is great and I don't have any argument with him."
"Jeff will be available," confirmed Kevin Keegan. "I can't say he won't get a shirt here again but it would be in the reserves as I can't see him playing for the first team again."
