The Magpies boss said "They looked miles hungrier,
"You wouldn't think they were bottom of the league.
"We were eighth going into the game but you would have thought it was the other way around.
"But full credit to Newport because they out-battled us and they should have scored more goals.
"We were weak, we were soft and there was no endeavour or enthusiasm."
