Jephcott Goes Home

Jephcott was expected to start for The Magpies yesterday, after Tony Hackworth was placed on the transfer list and told to find himself another club.

But instead he was sent back to Coventry, to allow Mills another loan signing, as Notts had the maximum of four loanees in their squad.

Jephcott was an unused substitute in the 1-0 win at Wrexham, but failed to make the squad for last week's 2-1 home defeat against Swindon and was again absent for yesterday's 1-1 draw against Barnsley, with Mills preferring Shaun Harrad to the Coventry star.

And with Tommy Johnson reported to be making his move on Monday, Jephcott was clearly surples to requirements at Meadow Lane.
