Injury Worries For Mills

Stuart Garden – who has shown impressive form of late – suffered what looked to be a lower back injury which left him struggling in the closing stages of the 0-0 stalemate.

Gary Mills has stated he will NOT be bringing in another goalkeeper despite Steve Mildenhall being out of action long-term. So he is obviously confident that Saul Deeney can do the business if required.

"I have been more than happy with the performances Stuart has put in.”
Mills told the Nottingham Evening Post.

"And he made another good save against
Plymouth, although I was more pleased with the manner in which he dominated his box. His back was a problem at the end, but he thinks he should be okay, it was just a slight twinge.” commented Mills.

Meanwhile, defender Nick Fenton suffered a nasty knock on his knee and had to be substituted off in the 84th minute after struggling to carry on playing during the 0-0 draw.

But Mills revealed that although it was initially feared that Fenton had suffered ligament damage, thankfully it now seems less worse than originally thought
and hopes he will be back in the team for the weekend’s 6 pointer at Wycombe.

And as revealed in numerous match reports, the on-loan starlet David Pipe also suffered an injury early in the match on Saturday and played 80 minutes or so with a suspected broken nose but there doesn’t seem to be any injury doubt over him ahead of Saturday’s vital clash with bottom of the league Wycombe Wanderers.
