Paul Devlin, At The Double Against Sunderland
1994-1995 Season (Division 1):
After having such a good home record the season before, it took Notts 8 league games before they registered 3 points at home. High flying Sunderland were the visitors and Notts came out 3-2 winners, thanks to goals from Paul Devlin 2 (Pictured) and Andy Legg. Phil Gray and former Magpie Gary Owers hit Sunderlands goals as Notts hung on with 10 men as Dean Yates was sent off.
Before this Notts had picked up draws against Wolves, Charlton, Port Vale and Derby at Meadow Lane, and lost to Oldham, Swindon and Stoke.
Final League Position: 24th

1995-1996 Season (Division 2):

Gary Martindale, On Target Against Preston
1996-1997 Season (Division 2):
For the second season running, Notts picked up points at Meadow Lane at the first time of asking with a 2-1 win. Newly promoted Preston came to Meadow Lane, and a deflected effort gave them a 1-0 advantage at the turnaround. However, goals from Gary Jones and Gary Martindale (Pictured) turned the game around and earned Notts all 3 points.
Final League Position: 24th

1997-1998 Season (Division 3):
Yet again Notts picked up a home win at the first attempt, but they left if very late to overcome Rochdale 2-1. Notts led 1-0 at half time, with Mark Robson scoring a penalty in first half stoppage time after a foul on Craig Dudley. Rochdale got a 2nd half leveller, and it looked a dead set draw at the game approached its end. However, Matt Redmile had a different idea and he rose highest to head Robson's corner home bang on 90 minutes.
Final League Position: 1st

Shaun Murray, Winner Against Fulham
1998-1999 Season (Division 2):
Following promotion and a very good home record the previous season, it was somewhat surprising it took Notts until mid September to get their first home league win. Notts over came Kevin Keegan's championship winning side with a 1-0 win, first half goal from Shuan Murray (Pictured) secured the win. Previously Notts suffered defeats to Bournemouth and Wigan and a draw with Man City.

1999-2000 Season (Division 2):
Sam Allardyce's side picked up 3 points at Meadow Lane against Scunthorpe United with a convincing 3-0 win in their 2nd home league game of the season.

Final League Position: 8th

2000-2001 Season (Division 2):
Notts had to wait until their 7th home league game before they took 3 points at Meadow Lane, and when it did arrive it was a huge relief to everyone. Jocky Scott's side had previously been beaten by Millwall, Cambridge and Swansea and drew with Bristol Rovers, Wigan and Brentford.
High flying Bury arrived at Meadow Lane near the end of October, and Notts took all 3 points, with a 1-0 win. Mark Stallard got the games only goal on the hour, a fine run by Stallard ended with him cooly slotting past Paddy Kenney.
Final League Position: 8th

Craig Ireland
2001-2002 Season (Division 2):

Notts collected 3 points from their first home league game of last season, with a 2-1 win over Cambridge, but only just! Notts led after 4 minutes when Craig Ireland (Pictured) fired home, and Mark Stallard doubled the advantage on 67. With 5 minutes remaining Dave Kitson got a goal back for The U's, and in the final minute a Richard Liburd handballed on the line and was sent off and Cambridge had a penalty. Steve Mildenhall was the hero, diving low to his right to save Paul Wanless' spot kick to send the Notts fans home happy.
Final League Position: 19th
