Paul Heffernan Celebrates His Goal That Secured Notts' Their First Home Win Of The Season
It took until October 19th for Notts to get their first home win of the season this season, following draws against Wycombe, Brentford and Peterborough and losses against Wigan, Oldham and Cardiff.

Notts won at home on the 7th attempt when Northampton game to Meadow Lane in mid October, with Paul Heffernan's late goal securing the points for The Magpies.

2 points out of a possible 9 were picked up after that, with draws against Swindon and Mansfield followed up by a loss to Colchester United at the end of November. Since then, it's been just one loss at Meadow Lane for The Magpies.

Home Fans Have Witnessed 6 Wins Out Of The Last 8 Games At Meadow Lane
QPR were swept aside 3-0, the dramatic and possibly the best home game this season against Barnsley on Boxing Day saw another 3 points in the bag, and Stockport also came away pointless after being 2-0 up at half time. Plymouth left Meadow Lane with 3 points at the end of January, with a workman like display they easily beat Notts 2-0. After Argyle came Crewe, and after being 2-0 down at half time Notts fought back well to earn a point.

Then a few weeks ago the first of 3 home wins on the bounce arrived. Playoff bound Bristol City were beaten 2-0 and last weekend Notts picked up another priceless 3 points against Luton thanks to a Paul Heffernan brace.

Last night Notts made it 6 wins out of 8 at home, if they can continue doing what they are doing at Meadow Lane and picking up the odd point away from home, The Magpies could and should be playing Division 2 football again next season.
