Hart lends his support

Hart said “Obviously we all hope they get things sorted out quickly, they're the oldest professional football club in the world. I've worked there in the past and the sooner it's sorted out the better."

Paul Hart aired his concerns following the collapse of the proposed takeover deal worth 3 Million pounds from a consortium lead by local business men Frank Strang and Raj Bhatia for the Meadow Lane Club.

However, chief administrator Paul Finnity told the Football League’s board of directors in a Monday meeting that Bhatia-Strang deal had broke down and that he was currently considering a new offer from a consortium headed by former chairman, Derek Pavis.

Since Monday the club have been given until September 8th to finalise the takeover.
