Harrad leaves club

The 20-year old striker becomes the first victim of manager Gudjon Thordarson’s shake-up plans as the Magpies boss looks to relocate funds to bring in fresh signings.

Harrad, yet another product of the club’s youth system, leaves the club with a year to run on his current deal and, desperate for first team football, having made just six starts in the season gone by.

Harrad, pictured right, will be fondly remembered for his heroics in the FA Cup Second Round against Swindon last season, a game that was thought to kick start his Magpies career.

After a successful loan spell with Tamworth earlier in the season, his contract was today terminated by mutual consent, as the Nottingham-born star's 32-game association with the Magpies comes to an end, in which he scored just one goal for the club.

NCM would like to wish Harrad all the best in his search for a new club.
