Gudjon feels short-changed over Wilson deal

Wilson, a product of the club’s youth set-up, completed his move to Championship side Preston North End last week for a reported £150,000 sum, a figure that could be increased to as much as £300,000 depending on appearances.

The decision was taken by the club’s board to sell the player after Wilson, 20, refused an improved contract here.

Despite this, however, a despondent Gudjon Thordarson said today that he feels robbed, insisting that the club sold too early.

"You can always argue if the price is right but that was the first offer and the club decided to take the offer. People have to live and die by their decisions," said Thordarson, speaking to the Nottingham Evening Post earlier today.

"I'd have liked to see some other clubs come in and force the price up but you can always argue about price. The board decided to take the offer. It's always a matter of opinion."

Elsewhere, news on the expected extension of striker Dan Chillingworth’s loan with the club has been delayed, with news now expected before Saturday’s home game against Oxford.
