Golden boot battle

Golden position: Forrester currently tops the goal-scoring chart.
Although this season appears to have tailed off into a battle for pride there is fierce competition within the squad for the top-scorer title.

With Richard Butcher's return to fitness and Jonathan Forte's second coming, it seems that any one of a handful of players could take the crown come the summer.

Although Jamie Forrester currently tops the chart on a respectable eight goals, he could see himself overtaken over the next few weeks.

Forte's arrival on loan will no doubt increase rivalry for the forward spots. The Scunthorpe man notched up four goals in his month stay earlier this term and will be eager to build upon that.

Despite a lengthy lay-off, free-scoring midfielder Butcher is chomping avidly at Forrester's heels having netted seven times in his attempt to reclaim his golden boot.

Also in the race is the ever-present powerhouse Delroy Facey (six) and the instinctive Sean Canham (four).
