Give us a goal

Still no goals...
Notts have already established themselves as the last club to get off the mark in Division Two, but Watford in the First Division & Lincoln in the Third are the other two teams with the dubious honour of not having scored a goal.

However, Lincoln have managed to get a goalless draw so Notts & Watford are the only teams out of 72 who are goalless & pointless.

Both clubs have been in administration (ofcourse, we still are) & that could have something to do with it as neither clubs were too close to relegation last season despite a brief flirtation by Notts.

So why haven't we scored in 3 games (4 if you include the 120 minutes away at Preston)?

Is it the strikers, the service to them, or is Billy selecting the wrong players?

For me, Platt, Stallard or Heffernan should not be blamed, the service to them has been appaling.

It also may be time for young players to be given a chance to shine, especially after today's display by Shane McFaul.

So whether it be a 90th minute own goal off the centre back's backside or a Tony Hackworth screamer many Notts fans will not care as long as they got off the mark on Monday, then maybe the points column will also look more promising.
