Gill had his Magpies contract mutually terminated on Friday to allow him to team-up with the Grecians, who are currently second in the Conference division.

The midfielder had been made available for transfer by manager Gudjon Thordarson in order to free-up funds for new signings in the Transfer Window.

The 25-year-old had also received offers from a number of other non-league clubs.

Meanwhile, Tony Scully - a man who spent time on-loan at Exeter earlier in the campaign - has signed a two-year deal with Crawley Town, after his Notts County contract was also terminated earlier this month.
