Gannon: "We lost our nerve"

County missed a whole host of chances to bury the League Two newcomers at Meadow Lane.

Gannon...Frank words
And a lack of belief ultimately cost Notts their first legaue win, according to Gannon.

He said: "We lost our nerve and fans got on our backs, which is a vicious circle.

"We need to deal with coping with the pressure", he openly admitted.

"Obviosuly we haven't got that first win, but we're still unbeaten as well", he explained.

A win would have seen County up to ninth in the table but instead the Magpies languish in fourteenth after failing to make their superiority count.

"When you are playing well you have to take your chances, otherwise it can prove costly", Assisstant Gannon said.

Elsewhere, Wrexham's Brian Carey didn't bother to feed fans excuses after their toothless 2-0 defeat at home to Hereford.

He just said: "I probably would have booed myself if I'd have been in the
Casper...Shell-shocked
crowd".

A shell-shocked Chris Casper couldn't hide his despiar as Brentford snatched a 2-1 at Gigg Lane late on.

"My lads are a bit dejected sat in the dressing room, it's been a frustrating afternoon...we've got no result when maybe we should have", he said.

Conceding late cost his side a deserved draw but the Shakers will need to bounce back from the desperately disppointing result.

Dagenham chief John Still on the other hand was dleighted as his side moved off the bottom after their first ever Football Laegue win.

"It might have late in the match (the goal), but we'll take that and take a great win as well", he said of their 1-0 win over Lincoln.
