Gannon...Pleased with Notts' fight

Assisstant Gannon admits the Magpies had to work very hard for the points, but came up with the goods.

"We had to dig deep and we certainly done that," he said.

Gannon believes County's determination was the key to the win that lifts them up to eleventh in the table.

"Everyone showed steel and the belief...It was a magnificient team effort," he explained.

He also singled out defensive pair Stephen Hunt and Adam Tann for special recognition.

"They (Hunt and Tann) dealt with everything that they threw at us...They gave belief to the rest of team," said Gannon.

Despite a massive win over one the divisions top sides, Gannon still thinks Notts can do much better, but admits the progress is pleasing.

"I still don't think we're approaching our best.
Carey...Vital win

"We're going in the right direction and it is definately coming," he said.

Elsewhere, Wrexham boss Brian Carey was delighted as his side notched up their first win in seven games.

His Red Dragons beat fellow strugglers Lincoln 1-0 at the Racecourse Ground. A result which sees them move out of the League Two relegation zone.

"It was a much needed win. I was pleased with the way we played.

"We've had our set-backs but we stuck to our game and it worked out well," said Carey.
