Four More To Sign!

Notts manager Gary Mills today revealed that he hopes to sign FOUR players on Monday in addition to the two signings yesterday.

Gedling Town striker Steve Scoffham agreed an 18-month contract at Meadow Lane yesterday. While winger former QPR Tony Scully signed a month-to-month deal

Meanwhile, a third addition to the squad before the game at Bournemouth tomorrow may also be a possibility with Mills racing to get the signature of Coventry’s Dele Adebola, who was told he could leave the Sky Blues earlier this week. But it has been revealed in the last 24 hours that Burnley are also interested in securing his services, so it looks as though Gary Mills has a battle on his hands.

“I have not given up hope, far from it, but they are a Division One club.” Gary Mills told the Nottingham Evening Post. "It may be that we have to start looking at other targets and time is running out for anything to be done before tomorrow.”

Mills has also revealed he has a current un-named Division One midfielder in mind and is thought to be set to sign an 18 month deal on Monday but Mills did not want to give any details away because he fears other clubs may well poach him. Mills cautiously said:

“I don't want to reveal too much, because I don't want to alert other clubs to his availability. We would have signed him before this weekend but he is suspended tomorrow. I expect something to be sorted out Monday.”

And with the loan spells of both Parkinson and Pipe expiring this weekend, Mills remains hopeful that they can both be extended from their respective clubs. While he spoke enthusiastically of both Steve Scoffham and Tony Scully who have both signed contracts at Notts over the past couple of days.

"We have signed Scoffham and Scully, and Scully will go straight into the squad for tomorrow's game," commented Mills on the pair.

Scully: In Tomorrow's Squad
“He (Tony Scully) is an out-and-out winger who can play either side of the pitch and I think he will give us a little something.” said Mills, of the 26 year old winger.

“We are also delighted to sign Scoffham and it might not be long before he is ready for the first team.” said Mills, as he spoke highly of the young striker.
